The conference is organised by the Coordination Committee of Nordic Peace Alliance, and takes place at the International People’s College in Helsingør.
It starts on Friday 14 July at lunchtime and ends with dinner on Saturday 15 July.
The Nordic Peace Conference is public and open to everyone and consists of a series of thematic seminars.
Here the participants have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with presenters from the Nordic peace movement, research institutes and representatives from the Nordic Council of Ministers.

Friday 14 July
11.00 – 12.30: Registration and light lunch
12.30 -13.30: Opening session, welcome, greetings and keynote speech to set the stage
13.30 -15.30: Peace as a precondition for welfare and sustainable development
16.00 – 18.00: The Nordic countries and NATO – a challenge facing the the Nordic peace movement
18.00 – 18.45: Dinner with program
Saturday 15. July
8.00 – 9.00: Breakfast
9.00 – 11.00: Alternatives to war: If you want peace, prepare for peace.
11.15 – 12.45: Building Bridges between the Peace and Climate Movements. Strategies and Actions
12.45 – 1.30: Lunch
13.30 – 15.30: The war in Ukraine. Experience, alternatives, and solutions
16.00 – 16.30: Summing up and end of conference
18.00 – 19.30: Dinner with program
 
 
Founding meeting for the Nordic Peace Alliance on Sunday 16 July
The foundation meeting takes place in the International People’s College on Sunday 16 July
The founding meeting is open to the 40 organizations that have so far shown interest in the development and preparations. The meeting will found the alliance, clarify plans for the joint initiatives and choose a new coordination group. After the founding meeting, all Nordic peace organizations that support purpose, plans and elections will be able to join.

Participation
Participation in the Nordic Peace Conference with planned meals costs a total of NOK 600 per day.
We have a limited number of rooms at the International People´s College. A bed in a single room costs 1800 NOK per night and beds in double rooms 1200 NOK per night.
